Hi everyone! My name is Shinyeong Moon (Erica), and I am a Junior at Jakarta Intercultural School. I am originally from South Korea, and it is my 2nd year in Indonesia.
Seeing earth’s natural beauties gradually disappear with the deterioration of the environment drove me to found Greenkeepers Indonesia along with my friends. I wish to spur change and positively impact the local Jakartan nature.
Besides the environment, I am also passionate about education, dogs, and the TWILIGHT SAGA (unarguably the best literary work of the 21st century 🍎).
Hi everyone! My name is Chaewon Lee, and I am a junior at Jakarta Intercultural School. I am originally from South Korea.
Since moving to Indonesia, whenever I look out the window, I always see a black sky. I started to be interested in environmental issues in Jakarta after realizing low air quality and how this affects people. This is what led me to start Greenkeepers, and I hope that our efforts to save Jakarta’s environment will help to finally create a cleaner and safer Earth.
Besides the environment, I am also passionate about animals and playing the piano.
Hi everyone! My name is Jodie Kim, and I am a Junior at Jakarta Intercultural School. I am originally from South Korea.
Issues regarding the environment were also prevalent in South Korea. but the acrid smell of smoke in the Jakartan air made me realize that the situation in Indonesia was far worse. Starting Greenkeepers Indonesia with my friends was a solution we came up with in order to help Jakarta’s local communities as well as bring change to not just our environment, but society as a whole.
Besides the environment, I am also passionate about technology, music, and binge-watching movies.
current projects
For the 2024-25 season, we are focusing on the following projects. Indonesia's green tomorrow begins here!
Battery Drive
Considering the lack of access to battery processing facilities in Jakarta, Greenkeepers are working to conduct a used battery drive at the local international school–Jakarta Intercultural School–and deliver used batteries to a processing facility for recycling in danger of hazardous disposal.
